About Us

Eddie Connor Case was born to a rather distinguished family in Daingerfield, Texas on January 13th, 1908. Her grandfather, Orange W. Connor was one of the original brothers who founded the store, “Connor Brothers, Inc.” in Daingerfield in 1932. Eddie was the second eldest daughter of five children. Her brother, James Thomas Connor, continued the family business in Connor Brothers, Inc. Eddie went to college to become a teacher and taught for many years. On weekends she would take care of her parents as their health had deteriorated. When she was fifty years old, she married the dean of Southern Methodist University, Walter Hooker Case. Eddie had a love for family and community, so years later in 1997, she established her very own museum to showcase the historical information of the families in Morris County, TX!
